A Little About You……….
Nearing age 40, a lover of whiskey, a pianist, an occasional actor in indie horror movies, a father of two and husband of one. And my basement office is too cold in the winter.
But you know what? I’m a ray of sunshine. Everyone tells me so.
A Little About Your Writing……….
I’m a jack of all trades, and I’ve been doing it long enough to realize I don’t know jack.
You like that, Jack? (Get it . . . jack, jack, Jack.) Yeah, a poet I’m not.
But some people like my stuff, and so will you, by the time I’m done with you.
Horror novels: Blood Born, Eyes Everywhere, The Organ Donor. Urban fantasy novel (forthcoming): The Seventh Equinox. Comedy stage play: Pirate Appreciation Day. Movies: The Good Parts, Dr. Ella Mental’s Mad Lab Picture Show. Radio Play: How the Martians Stole Christmas. Non-fiction: Horror Isn’t a 4-Letter Word.
Yeah, what kind of writer am I? I don’t know. But I’m a ray of sunshine.
What Inspired You To Start Writing?
That’s a good question, meaning I haven’t a clue. That was, like, in the first grade. Did I mention I’m almost 40? I have CRS (Can’t Remember Stuff) syndrome. And I’m enjoying it, I think . . . if I could only remember what it is I’m supposed to enjoy.
I’m a ray of sunshine. Yeah.
How Has Writing Changed Your Life?
Well, obviously, I’m so happy.
What Is Your Favourite Book, Ever?
That question is too hard.
What Is The Best Piece Of Writing Advice You Could Give, And Why?
Stay happy. Because no one else will make you happy.
Remember, you’re a ray of sunshine.
If You Were A Dragon, What Kind Of Dragon Would You Be?
I would be the Chinese Shen-Lung from my first novel, The Organ Donor. And you know why? He’s a ray of . . . yeah, you got it.
